Thermatek is an offshoot of “The Parshuram Pottery Works Co. Ltd”, the First Company in India to introduce modern ceramic products.

The tradition of innovation and enterprise begins with the Grand Old Man of Indian Ceramic Industry, Late Shri Parshuram Balwant Ganpule. He established his first ceramic company in 1917. Later in the year 1928, Parshuram Potteries (as was popularly known) was established to manufacture products like Crockery, Stoneware Pickle Jars and later Ceramic Tiles and Sanitary wares. These products were manufactured for first time in the Indian Subcontinent.

This legacy of innovation was carried forward by Shri Parshuram Ganpule’s Grand Nephew Late Shri Ashok Anant Ganpule with the invention of Cement based Cool Roof tile in 2003, which was the first tile to have High Solar Reflective Index in the world. The product was patented to him.  Later, Ashok Ganpule also developed a tile fixing mortar, which again is a unique product. The mortar when used with tiles gives excellent insulation property.

Late Shri Ashok Ganpule has been a part of The Parshuram Pottery’s top management for about 50 years before he developed Thermatek heat reflective tiles.

His two sons, Amit and Rohit Ganpule started Ishaan Industries to manufacture and market the tiles under Thermatek brand.

Thermatek is presently managed by Mr. Amit Ashok Ganpule and Mr. Rohit Ashok Ganpule. The two brothers developed a ceramic tile with Cool Roof properties, which today has the Highest SRI (Solar Reflective Index) in the world. Though the products had some shortcomings in the initial stage, but with their passion and their knack of innovation, they corrected the flaws and continued to contribute to the industry.

The legacy of service to Indians by the Parshuram Group spans over a hundred years and continues to serve Indians as their solution to keep their houses and buildings cool and comfortable.
